Name: Nancy Drew Door: Returning Submissive Canon: Nancy Drew Canon Point: 2x18 Age: 19 Appearance: Here! History: here! CR AU (Optional): Nancy was previously in the game. In order to keep her from having to repeat her adjusting to the city, I am going to keep those memories of the game. Most of her major cr from the game (Jon Snow, Mrs. Sheringham, Dean Winchester) has since left, but having experience as a submissive in the city will allow her to understand the system and how to participate in it. Personality: Positive Trait: Overall, Nancy is a great detective because she is brave and willing to take risks. When a mystery leads her into the darkness, she isn't afraid to follow it, even if that means accepting that ghosts are real (and haunting her). She'll do anything to help someone in trouble, and if it puts her in danger, she doesn't even hesitate. As a result, there are people in her world who are alive because of her. Her town sees her as a hero because she's constantly doing what she can to help them. This includes her assuming the Hudson family name so that she can control the estate's money and donate it to her biological family's victims. Negative Trait: One of Nancy's greatest strengths as a detective happens to be her top negative trait; she is suspicious of everyone around her. In general, Nancy wants to believe in her family and friends, but when the evidence leads her straight to them, she isn't afraid to question them. In Season 1, this leads to her father being arrested for a murder he didn't commit, because the evidence she had collected against him was discovered by the police. It's difficult for her to trust blindly because of her experiences; she knows most people are keeping secrets, and she makes it her job to uncover them. The result is that doesn't let people stay in her life without interrogating them once in a while. Her relationship with Nick ended because there wasn't enough trust between them, and it's often a sore point for her in her canon. Negative Trait: When someone lets Nancy down, she can be unforgiving of them and puts in emotional distance. She's done that with friendships before, but also with her two fathers when she feels they have disappointed her. When she uncovers her connection to Ryan Hudson, she doesn't initially give him a chance to have a relationship with her because she's decided that he's not someone she wants in her life. (To be fair though, their relationship evolves into a more father/daughter connection over time.) Nancy is often careful about who she lets in her life, so she holds them to high standards and is heartbroken when they let her down. As a result, she holds on to her pain. In a fight, she will immediately default to bringing up the flaws her friends have found in her; it's not that she thinks she's without flaws, it's that she's painfully aware. Negative Trait: Nancy is self-sacrificing. She'll take on pain so that others don't have to experience it. She is constantly risking her life to save her friends and family members, and even complete strangers. She seems very aware of the way that darkness seems to follow her, and carries some guilt for bringing it into the lives of her friends. She holds herself responsible for what happens to them and would do anything to keep them safe. This has included rescuing her friends and accidentally having a wraith hitchhike on her body and feed off of her repressed traumas. She suffers for wanting to help the people around her. If she doesn't look out for herself, it will get her killed someday. Powers and Abilities: Nancy is a normal human who does not have any supernatural powers or abilities. She does, however, come from a world where ghosts are real, and has performed rituals and seances in canon in order to connect with the dead or to help solve a mystery. It's not depicted as a special talent - anyone with the knowledge is able to perform these activities. Nancy's real talent is in solving mysteries and being perceptive. In canon, it is acknowledged that she started young, doing the police chief's job for him before she turned eighteen. After the death of her mother, she stopped for a while as she dealt with her grief - but she is capable and intelligent, and able to see what other people might miss.
